If You’re in the Market for Garage Door Replacement, Why Not Go “Overhead"?

Overhead doors have become widely popular for residential and commercial use because they allow space to be used more efficiently.

An overhead door runs on a streamlined track which doesn’t need much room. The one area, however, where a lack of space may be experienced is if your garage itself is a little short of headspace.

If you do decide on overhead garage door replacement, you’ll find a wide variety of designs to choose from. The type you select will depend on a couple of factors. Wooden doors are typically considered to be more attractive, but steel is stronger and requires virtually no maintenance.

Of course, aesthetics plays a major role in your decision, but it’s not the only factor. You also need to decide whether your want your new door to be insulated or not. If you live in an area where the climate is reasonably mild, like most of our clients in North Carolina, a door that’s not insulated would be a more cost-effective option. But, if you live in a more extreme climate, then insulated garage door replacement is the best choice.

Moreover, if your garage is directly connected to your living space, an insulated door is a worthwhile investment. It will not only make your garage and your car more comfortable, but it will prevent the cold winter air, as well as the hot summer air, from entering your home.
